Meet your coach
My dance journey started with modern classes at the age of 11. Four years later, I begrudgingly started ballet to help my technique, and to my surprise, fell in love with it. I can't tell you how many times I asked the internet, "Is 15 too late to become a professional ballet dancer?" (Google said yes, in case you were wondering)
While I was able to join a pre-professional program by 17, my body still had a lot of catching up to do. I'd spent hours stretching, practicing at home, and doing Pilates, but continued to feel limited in my flexibility, strength, and persistent muscle soreness.
Fast forward to 2021: I'd stopped dancing a few years prior and embarked on my Pilates instructor training journey. I knew I wanted to work with dancers, but the more I learned about exercise science, the more I realized that Pilates alone - while it has many benefits - also has its limitations. Simply put, it can't provide dancers with everything they need out of a cross-training program.
With this in mind, I'm currently pursuing my BSc in Strength & Conditioning. My mission is to educate and empower dancers to train like the athletes they are. I hope to bring clarity and confidence to your training choices, using simple, evidence-based programs.
